Cannonsoul Remembering

Alto saxophone icon Cannonball Adderley was a fantastic improviser with outstanding technique, an unmistakable sound and a wonderful feel for the various jazz styles. The Zurich alto saxophonist PATRICK BIANCO and his band CANNONSOUL have dedicated themselves to the groovy, soulful and energetic Adderley music for many years. "Cannonsoul" was chosen as the winner by a top-class jury of the "Swiss Jazzaward" and received the coveted prize in 2016.

JOE MAGNARELLI from New York is a master of his trade on the trumpet. He has been one of the world's leading trumpeters for three decades. DADO MORONI on piano and BERND REITER on drums are responsible for the grooving basis and the driving force. A new discovery at the Jazz Club is the outstanding bassist ALDO ZUNINO. Like Moroni, he comes from Italy. He has been playing with many international jazz stars for 30 years and is highly regarded for his precise bass lines.
