Piri Piri Swing

The gipsy swing band Piri Piri has been delighting audiences for over two decades - and with an unchanged line-up. The musicians are celebrating this special anniversary with a concert at the Casineum Lucerne, with pianist Alessandro D'Episcopo as special guest.

Christian Wallner and Pete Borel on acoustic guitars, David Zopfi on double bass and Pit Furrer on percussion are dedicated to traditional gipsy jazz in the style of Django Reinhardt.

Their repertoire combines swinging, lively melodies and soulful ballads that groove in equal measure and invite you to sing along. In addition to works by Django Reinhardt and interpretations of well-known jazz classics, the band also presents original compositions by Christian Wallner.

The virtuoso quartet impresses with rousing rhythms and brilliant guitar runs - a musical delight full of energy and joy of playing.
