Robi Weber Quartet

ROBI WEBER, one of Switzerland's most distinguished and successful jazz pianists, plays gripping soul jazz with elements of blues, R'n'B and gospel. With his unique groove, he is able to inspire right from the start. His independent piano playing of elegant brilliance is based on the guard rails of Oscar Peterson and is reminiscent of Les McCann and Gene Harris. The vibraphonist THOMAS DOBLER is a congenial side and front man. He is in no way inferior to the master in terms of virtuosity, groove, inventiveness and soulful playing.

They are supported by a legendary rhythm section. The widely sought-after KALLI GERHARDS plays bass with his great rhythmic feeling and harmonic understanding. Drummer CURT TREIER, the driving force behind the DRS Big Band for many years, is responsible for the swinging drive.
