The most famous and oldest wine-growing region in Italy is undoubtedly Tuscany. The best red wines in Italy are associated with Tuscany, probably the country's most charming region, and not without good reason.

The region's best-known wine is certainly Chianti, which is made from the region's leading grape variety - the Sangiovese grape. Sangiovese is characterized by multifaceted colors and aromas. The riper grapes are particularly delicious, tasting of strong red fruits and spices. The famous Brunello di Montalcino is produced from a variety of the Sangiovese grape in the Montalcino region of the same name.

The growing areas, which are located near the coast, have the best conditions for winegrowing. Tuscany's Mediterranean climate, which is known for its warm summers and extremely mild winters, ensures high-yielding harvests.
