On December 7, 2023, a small, select group of celebrities from the worlds of politics, business and tourism played for a good cause at the traditional charity blackjack tournament at the Grand Casino Luzern. As every year, the amount of 12,500 is donated to the Luzerner Zeitung Christmas campaign.
The Grand Casino Luzern Group is delighted: the Federal Council today approved the license application for the land-based casino in Lucerne and the associated online casino mycasino. The traditional Central Swiss company can thus continue to operate its existing Grand Casino in Lucerne and the mycasino online casino securely until 2044. A supplementary new casino in Sion, on the other hand, was not approved by the national government.
