François Lindemann NU Bass Quintet

FRANÇOIS LINDEMANN is known for his penchant for unusual instrumentations. Examples are the projects "Piano Seven" or his octet with alphorn quartet. In his new band, founded in 2015, he combines occidental instruments with an Arabic one. The pianist and composer primarily writes melodic and swinging jazz. To this is mixed the color of the short-necked lute oud. Another special element of this band is the double bass position. The compositions are built on solid, stable accompaniment grooves, over which the soloists can fly, fabulate, shimmer, bow or strike. The musicians of NU BASS QUINTET are all highly trained instrumentalists with immense experience in playing with the greats of jazz or classical music.
