Marian Petrescu Quartet

The MARIAN PETRESCU QUARTET presents mainstream jazz, consisting of the elements blues, swing, Latin and bop, at the very highest level. The Romanian piano virtuoso and the fantastic guitarist Wawau revive the jazz legends Django Reinhardt and Oscar Peterson with their congenial fellow musicians.

The "Horowitz of jazz piano" MARIAN PETRESCU has a dazzling technique. His piano playing includes lines at breathtaking speed, unison runs with the right and left hand, a comprehensive understanding of harmony and emotional expressiveness.

WAWAU ADLER is a jazz guitarist with roots in gypsy jazz. The beautiful sound of the guitar and the sensitively played melody lines are his trademarks. He was recently voted one of the five best gypsy jazz guitarists in the world in the USA.

With bassist JOEL LOCHER and drummer FELIX SCHRACK, the two virtuosos have an experienced and extremely grooving accompanying duo at their side.
