The Sugar Foot Stompers

The "SUGAR FOOT STOMPERS" from Lörrach have dedicated themselves to original jazz from the 1920s. Transcriptions and original arrangements have been collected over many years of research. Further arrangements were created on the basis of legendary shellac records, including Louis Armstrong's "Hot Five/Hot Seven", King Oliver's "Creole Jazzband" and Jelly Roll Morton's "Red Hot Peppers". Fans of this century-old musical style can therefore enjoy an authentic interpretation! A jazz and cultural journey of the band to the cradle of classic jazz in New Orleans underlines the band's intention of authenticity.

In some numbers the bandleader HEINER KRAUSE leaves his washboard. Then he picks up his cornet to play in the "Frontline" together with the cornet-playing DIETER STEININGER, just as the young Louis Armstrong once did alongside King Oliver!
